6 – Questions for Tove Storch 1: Can you tell me about your background? And what was the first artwork you made? I drew as a child, on everything, all the time. As I grew older it slowly changed into something you could call making art.

For her first solo show, at the Kirkhoff gallery in 2007, young Danish artist Tove Storch presented a diverse group of conceptually-based sculptural works that involved kinetics, projections and optical trickery. Danish artist Tove Storch's minimalist lines and strong material focus appear to reflect the formal concerns of much recent sculpture, albeit with unusually authoritative, elegant results. Less commonplace, however, is the artist's investigation of sculptural physicality, which takes her into territories where volume, form or shape are subject Tove Storch.

We look forward to welcoming you to a talk between Danish artists Charlotte Brüel and Tove Storch at Nils Stærk. Brüel has been working as an artist since the end of the 1960’s, where she enrolled and later left the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts due to the conditions for female students in the school.
